A Behavior Technician (BT) is a paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a BCBA to implement individualized behavior intervention plans in one-on-one settings, either in the home or community environment. Responsibilities

Direct Implementation of Treatment Plans: Apply ABA techniques to teach communication, social skills, functional life skills, and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Data Collection & Progress Monitoring: Record and graph data using the CR Essentials platform to track client progress.
Family and Caregiver Support: Train and guide family members and caregivers on implementing treatment plans and supporting clients’ goals.
Client Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standards of client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
Crisis Management: Implement crisis management protocols as outlined by the BCBA.
Ongoing Supervision: Participate in supervisions with your BCBA and attend live session supervisions for feedback and guidance.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • MUST have at least 1 year of professional experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or elderly individuals.
  • Availability to work evening hours (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday).
  • Reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Preferred:
  • Successfully completed or have interest in pursuing the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification.
  • CPR certification or must be completed within the first 60 days of employment.
